COS Explorer user management
User access by roles
As an organization admin, you control who in your organization can access COS Explorer and the level of permissions for those users.
Manage user access using roles. Together with Cross River, your organization defines customized roles for using specific services with specific access levels. Once your organization roles are defined, you create a user for each person in your organization who needs COS Explorer access, assigning the appropriate role or roles to each.
We require your organization to have two admin users for approval purposes. When one admincreates or changes a user, the other approves the action in the system.
Before you begin
For each user you want to create, make sure you have:
- First and last name
- Phone number (for authentication)
- Corporate email address (domain must be whitelisted/allowlisted with Cross River)
Create new user
Navigate to Users in the Admin area.
On the Users screen Click + New User. The Admin Create User screen opens.
Complete the fields as indicated.
Set these values:
- User Type: Partner
- Status: Active
- Partners: Your organization name as it appears in COS Explorer
For the Role field, select one or more user roles as appropriate
All users must be configured with the Partner Core Read Only role.
If you assign a role to the user that includes Wires payment origination, you must set the per-transaction wires payment limit in the Wire.Payments.Originate field. Wire payments that are larger than this limit require authorization using COS Explorer.
When you complete all fields, click Save Changes.
To complete configuration or update of a user, a different admin must approve the changes.
When you successfully create a new user you see an on-screen confirmation message, and the user receives an email with instructions on how to complete registration.
Edit user
Click the user name to enter the User Details screen.
Click the 3-dot menu for that user and select Toggle Edit Mode. You can now edit most of the fields, including roles.
Any changes made to the user configuration require approval by another admin to take effect.
Second admin approval
Navigate to the user you need to approve.
Review the user details to be sure the configuration and details are correct.
Click Approve Changes.
Add a justification for the change or new user in the note field.
Click Submit.
