Webhook events: Instant payments

Common events

When you work with Cross River accounts, cards and payments, you register for specific webhooks which have a specific event format.

This table presents common instant payments webhook events that are described in detail below.

Event Name	Description	Related Endpoint
Rtp.Payment.Sent	The outbound payment has been successfully transmitted to the receiving institution, and the funds are now available in the receiver's bank account	Credit transfer
Rtp.Payment.Received	An inbound payment has been received from another institution and successfully posted to an account in COS. This inbound payment can be an unsolicited incoming payment or a response to a RfP call.	Payment request
Rtp.Payment.Rejected	Payment Rejected – The payment was rejected by the receiving institution or by the Instant Payments network. Insufficient Funds – The payment could not be processed because the originating account had insufficient funds.	Credit transfer
Rtp.Payment.Expired	An outbound request for payment was not responded to before the expiration date/time specified in the request	Payment request
Rtp.Payment.Canceled	Partner Cancellation – The payment was canceled at the request of the partner. Research Cancellation – A payment with a status of ResearchRequired has been canceled.	Cancel request
Rtp.Payment.Queued	An outbound payment has been queued. Additional information is provided in Payment queueing	Credit transfer
Rtp.Payment.TimedOut	Occurs when we received an incoming RTP payment and we did not process the payment in a timely manner. The payment network then sent us a timeout message on that payment.
Rtp.Payment.ResearchRequired	Payment has not been processed. Research is required. See COS Explorer for details
Rtp.Limits.Utilization.Changed	Track your usage and remaining limit. Additional information is provides in Monitor limit utilization
Core.Transaction.Completed (RTP Credit)	Transaction completed successfully for Instant Payment Credit transaction	Credit transfer Payment transactions
Core.Transaction.Completed (RTP Debit)	Transaction completed successfully for Instant Payment Debit transaction	Payment transactions
