Standalone Setup
Add Setup File
From BrightSign Control, create / sign in to your account, and select or create a Player Network for the player to belong to (more info).
Go to: Player Setup / Setup File Library
Click Add Setup File to create a Setup File.
Settings are organized into the sections shown. Review the available settings and configure as necessary.
For the Publishing Mode, select Standalone.
Click Save Setup File to save the Setup File to the Setup File Library.
Unfortunately, BrightSign Control is currently unable to save Setup Files to a local device (e.g., your computer or a microSD card). This ability will be added soon. Until then, you must use BrightSign Author to do this.
BrightSign Author
From BrightSign Author, go to: Admin > Setup Library
Find the Setup File created above and click Edit (pencil icon).
The Setup File will appear enabling you to edit it.
Click Save Setup and save to a blank microSD card. Save the files to the top/root level of the card; do not save to a sub-folder. Click OK.
Player Setup
- Make sure the player is off.
- Insert the microSD card into the player and power up the player.
- Wait until the player displays a message indicating that setup is complete.
The player is now set up for the Standalone Publishing Mode.
