Organization Index

The organization index table provides information about organization indices. The term "organization index" here refers to the stock market index that measures the performance of a specific collection of major, publicly traded companies.

organization_index_id (PK)

This is the primary key for the table, i.e., it uniquely identifies each record in the table.

organization_id

Unique ID assigned to the Altrata Organization. These IDs enable consistent mapping to other entity IDs within Altrata. Example: 1-org-14994 – Sun Microsystems, Inc.

index_name

This attribute provides the name of the stock index the organization is part of. A stock index is a statistical measure that tracks the performance of a group of selected stocks within a stock exchange. For example, the Nasdaq is a stock exchange (home to over 2500 stocks), while the Nasdaq 100 is a specific index within it, tracking the performance of the 100 largest non-financial companies list on that exchange, heavily skewed towards technology and growth stocks like Apple, Microsoft, and Amazon.

index_abbreviated_name

This attribute provides the abbreviated name of the stock index the organization is part of. This abbreviated name is usually referred to as a ticker symbol.

index_status

This describes the status of the organization being part of the stock index as current or prior.

index_start_date

This is the date for when the organization became part of the index.

index_end_date

This is the date for when the organization stopped being part of the index.

index_country

This attribute provides the name of the country the index is in.
