The organization table incudes key attributes for companies within the Altrata universe. See below for a visual representation of the attributes.

organization_id (PK) Unique ID assigned to the Altrata Organization. These IDs enable consistent mapping to other entity IDs within Altrata. Example: 1-org-14994 – Sun Microsystems, Inc

date_extinct Date year, month, and day when the Organization ceases to exist. Example: 2009-04-01 – Sun Microsystems, Inc

date_founded Date year, month, and day when the Organization was established. Example: 2009-04-01 – Sun Microsystems, Inc

email_domain The email domain that is associated with the organization. Example: @microsoft.com

website The website associated with the organization. Example: http://www.idealab.com

organization_name The full organization display name. Example: Meta

organization_alternate_name Alternate name of the organization, a name used by an organization instead of or in addition to the Organization's legal name. Example: Meta Platforms Inc.

ticker_primary Stock ticker symbols associated to official stock exchange listings of the organization. Example: META

head_office_address Business Address, the primary office Address of an organization or company. Example: 130 WEST UNION STREET, PASADENA, CA, 91103

head_office_country The country where the Head Office of a company is located. Example: 130 WEST UNION STREET, PASADENA, CA, 91103

head_office_zip The Zip code of the Organization’s Head office. Example: 91103

head_office_state The state of the Organization’s Head Office. Example: California

head_office_city The city of the Organization’s Head Office. Example: Pasadena

head_office_latitude

The geographic latitude coordinate of the organization's head office location, stored with up to 4 decimal places of precision.

head_office_longitude

The geographic longitude coordinate of the organization's head office location, stored with up to 4 decimal places of precision.

organization_type Denotes the nature or type of business. Example: Public, Private, Charity

sector_primary Company Sector Information associated to the organization. Example: Investment Banking & Brokerage, IT Consulting & Services, Computer Software.

industry_primary A more granular industry vertical associated to the organization. Example: Banking & Finance, Business & Consumer Services, Technology.

ultimate_parent_id (FK) The Unique ID of Ultimate Parent Company - the topmost company within the hierarchy of the organization. Example: 1203740 – KKR & Co., Inc

ultimate_parent_name The name of Ultimate Parent Company - the topmost company within the hierarchy of the organization. Example: ELBIT SYSTEMS LTD

political_party The name of a political party a donation is given to.

organization_charitable_cause_primary

For charitable organizations, this is their primary charitable cause.

organization_phone_number_primary The most trusted phone number (e.g., latest) of the organization.

is_private_equity_organization

A private equity (PE) organization is a firm that raises capital from investors (like pension funds, endowments, high-net-worth individuals) to buy stakes in companies not listed on public stock markets (or take public companies private), aiming to grow their value through operational improvements, strategic guidance, and restructuring, then selling them later for profit.
